Random fact
Even though she has wings she can’t fly.
Ikuyo’s parents were proud and prestigious within the Yokai world. Mistakes were not accepted within the ranks of Tengu and thus, due to Ikuyo’s tiny wings, she was cast down a river. Yet the moon shined a 2nd chance for her as she was found and raised lovingly by a shrine priest who raised abandoned yokai just like her. Naming her Ikuyo, for their desire for her to grow and nurture, she was raised with all the responsibilities and grace of the other shrine maidens that lived at the temple. Despite excelling in the arts, she found herself breaking many of the rules of the shrine as she grew, from missing her duties due to a particular late night of gaming to forgetting to clean up the mess left behind her gunpla building sessions. Her natural mischievous nature got her into trouble with her guardians. After a particularly disastrous prank, she was given a punishment: to travel the world to learn the grace and refinery that her yokai species were known for. Now out in the world without the protection of the shrine, Ikuyo did not feel scared. In fact, she felt excitement; That excitement that was short lived, however, as she found out that it was not so easy to get by with her rebellious nature.
Even when she would manage to sneak into various trains and boats, it was much harder to find food that could match the food back home. But she realised that there was one more thing she missed a lot; She missed her friends and family. Humans were difficult to talk to sometimes, they were either scared of her or wanted to use her abilities for their own interests. The thoughts lead her to a clue about another Yokai in town, surely another yokai would be able to understand her woes right? Ikuyo let her mind wander, completely missing the figure running around the corner right towards her leading to an unavoidable collision. Despite the tengu falling over, she looked up to be faced with an android who gracefully avoided falling over. Before Ikuyo could apologise, a calm voice spoke out
“It seems you have an injury. Would you allow me to take care of you?“
She looked down to see her knees had been scraped by the fall, so she accepted the help and was brought through the gates of the MOE Mansion! Surrounded by so many other wonderful beings, Ikuyo felt that same sense of home she so missed. She begged them to let her stay in the Mansion under the guise to learn from the android, but also maybe make some new friends?
